If you haven't noticed, I just can't keep up with this blog thing anymore! Life is too busy, PLUS- my over seas family is back home and- yay!- almost all my immediate family is living in PA now!

Soooo... goodbye blog! We will probably be moving in the next year and who knows- maybe bothers &/or sisters for little Braden will be on the way! I'm not closing the site just because I love to look back and read how much our family changed and grew over the past year. We have some amazing memories here. Now we're on to making new ones!

First Haircut!

Bill made me do it. He had been insisting for months, but I was able to say "no way" until last week when 3 people mistook Braden for a girl. Then Bill finally won the fight- and we took him for his first haircut.

I was worried sick about how Braden would handle sitting still in a chair and having a stranger come at him with scissors. But, as usual, Braden was fine. He wiggled a little, but we kept him busy with snacks and I let him play with my camera, which I never do. So he barely noticed the lady chopping off his hair. I, on the other hand, cried.

I can admit, his hair looks totally cute. The cut definitely made him look older, but I'm okay with that, too. It's the fact that my little baby boy is big enough for a haircut that is bothering me! It has finally sunk in that Braden is a little boy now. A little boy who is big enough to hold my hand and walk through the store with me. A little boy who is big enough to go and get fitted for shoes at the shoe store. A little boy who is big enough to eat his meals with a fork and spoon. And a little boy big enough to go to the barbershop and get his hair cut!



There was no way that Momma would be the one to hold him down for this!



Snacks were the perfect distraction!

Braden's New Room

Now that we officially have a toddler, no longer a baby, we found it fitting to transform Braden's nursery into a fun, colorful toddler's room. He now has a modern safari themed room- check out his new pad!






By the way, we did the stenciling ourselves and the "King of the Jungle" sign and blue & green picture frames were handmade by yours truly!

These super-short videos are quite entertaining. They were taken at Braden's last play date with his best buddy, AJ. It's so funny to watch how toddlers play together. The first video displays why they have to be out of arm's reach of each other while eating. The second showcases theses boys' dance moves. Cracks me up!

PS- Thank you for all the well wishes. I do still have my job. It was just stripped of all the frills, but I'm very happy to still have it.
